Default 98 Civic EX Engine Question

my 98 civic ex is at 114000 miles right now, dont know how long it could last for cause i know that's pretty high, but I was wondering if I happen to get another engine for it I would want to get a more powerful engine and not the one I have now (automatic btw)

My questions is what more powerful engines would be compatible with the 98 civic EX coupe?

Search. Almost any honda motor can go in your car. The price ranges, but you're looking around $3-5k.

114k is not that high for a honda, lots of hondas last to 200k and up. mine is at 133k now and ive only had to replace the alternator, the TPS sensor, and belts.

114k is just breaking it in lol i have had honda's over 300k
also you have the best SOHC motor in your car it has the d16y8
unless you wanna spend alot of $$$ and swap into a DOHC
i'd say just keep up on the maintence and maybe if you want do a auto to manual swap..
if you can go a couple of days without the car just pull the engine and take it to a engine machine shop and get it fully rebuilt and maybe a few internal upgrades..
