How cheap do you want to find them? Ebay is pretty cheap.

ebay is 57 bucks, i thought that at a junk yard i could find them for 30, or maybe craigslist(someone parting out a car). or maybe someone on here looking to get rid of stock light.

This forum is not as active as others. I would suggest checking out hondamarketplace.com and posting a WTB thread on there. However, I am not sure how long you would be waiting until someone offers one up.

Ebaymotors.com would be the easiest to deal with.
Forums would be the least amount of stress dealing with it since you don't necessarily "look" for one, just post that you need one in the appropriate section.
A local junk yard or craigslist would probably be the cheapest since you don't have to deal with shipping.

if he does go with ebay, what is a good dealer to get them from? I've read that Depo brand tail lights are better than most aftermarket brands, but can't find an ebay seller who sells them specifically.

Meh, I would stick with OEM if possible if you want hassle free. "ebay" lights are hit or miss. I had to re-position all 4 mounting studs that stick out from the assembly for them to fit right. It was not fun.

I've gotta get my tail lights fixed by next month for inspection, not sure I'll be able to find some OEM locally before then...
