That's not a good thing... VTEC engagement is suppose to be a smooth transition. At it's optimal engagement point, it will be the smoothest possible transition.
VTEC engaging hard is a side effect of a poorly chosen VTEC engagement point. When it is like this, there is a flat spot in your torque curve.
When VTEC engages harder it causes somewhat of a placebo effect that causes you to think that it's more powerful, when in fact it's really not.

Point one: i enjoy reading the "SOCK VS STOCK" threads because the first entry always makes me laugh and the last entry never has a d**m thing to do with "stock anything VS stock anything else."
