I have a 2005 Honda Civic EX. Love the car, reliable, cheap to operate, no trouble, but I drive 112 miles per day to work and back. Are there more comfy seats available and have any of you experienced back pain from driving the smaller car?

 

I'm 6ft tall with lumbar issues. The best car seats I've sat in have a lot more distance from the seat to the floor mat than you can get in a civic. Working with the limitations of driving a small car, I've had good luck with power seats that tilt the entire seat (upper and lower) back. If 05 civic seats mount anything like EK civic seats, you could maybe try to lifting the front of the seat or rail up with washers and longer bolts. (this could be unsafe, don't sue me if you die)
