Air intake

RE: Air intake
I say, if you got the extra cash to burn and you don't need it.....go with a AEM V2. Good sound, and performance. But the difference between it and anSRI or CAI doesn't seem worth it to me for the price, on my budget.

RE: Air intake
I agree. Plus, if you live in an area that deals with monsoon season, you need to watch out for standing water. If you're hell bent on a cold air intake, then get the AEM one so you can get the adapter that eliminates the possibility of getting water in your engine.
If it means anything to you, I'm planning on getting a short ram. I'm in about the same situation as you. Bone stock car...where to start with mods.
I'm hating the lagging of the engine, so I'll go with the upgraded intake, then I'll slap on the strut braces. After that, this summer's work (I'm in college) may prove to earn a 4-2-1 header, high flow cat, and catback exhaust (probably Megan racing). I want to have a quick, responsive, but reliable daily driver.
