Default AUTOMATIC?

I'll tell you guys this right now,
I dont know very much about actually working on cars. My 90 civic dx h/b is an Automatic. I was just wondering if it would be worth my time investing in an auto. I would of gotten a stick but this one was only $500 and not a thing rong with it! only 90k Miles on it. Would an auto be worth investing in? I would just like to give it a little more get up an go. Nothing extreme I dont plain on racing or anything. I would just like to do a few little things like, air intake, headers, exhaust ect. Let me know what you guys think. Is it worth messin with? And what would you do to give it a lil more go power? rember nothing serious.

juggalotus...u need...tranny, flywheel, clutch, pplate, clutch cable, pedal assembly, shift linkage, and ecu(if u want to do it right)..u can run on ur auto ecu but u have to jump some wires at the connections where the old auto shifter used to be....

tmack...ill list what u would need first...tranny, flywheel, clutch, pplate, pedal assembly, mastercylnder, lines, shift linkage and ecu....i think u have to get the ecu becuase if u dont it wont let u rev above 5 grand due to the check engine light it throws...as far as cost and labor...i think we charge 1800 at the shop i work at....u can get the parts for about 500 or 600....but there is a bunch of labor..so if u pay someone to do it labor fees will kill you...its not to bad tho if you know anything about mechanics...i can convert to manual in a day or so and im 17...but i hvae also converted 3 or 4 cars so i have experience......thats just an idea of what it might cost

well say its going to cost u 900$ for a manual swap. Thats some serious loot. Just throw another 600$ into that and turbo ur auto.....run 6PSI and call it a day.

speaking of that....we build a turbo auto at my job....on a ex motor (d16y8)...runing 6 lbs of boost...with everything done tot he car...as far as motor goes cept internals (stock internals) dynod at 185 hp to the wheels...IN AN AUTO...that was a great build...but as far as driving it...manual is way more fun
