B18 or B16

Default B18 or B16

Well im thinkin of doing a swap into my 93 hatchback Si. Now will either of these motors line up with my tranny,or do i have to swap that. Also I'm sure a lot of you have done swaps, which one is recommended to be reliable and still a fast car? I still want a/c and ps, so which swap do you guys think is the best?

You will need a different tranny. And a b16 is good for boost, and the b18 is a good N/A set up

Go with a b18a1 One of the cheapest swaps to do and very easy to modify.

Either motor in that small of a car will be pretty fast its just a matter of budget really

yea id recomend a b18 also cheap an theres endless parts an custom things u can do to it. An id say the b18 is good for boostin an NA

i havent had any problems with it....yet

My buddy has a b18c5 i a black coupe but hes boosting and spraying. I think thats a little much but it his car not mine. Where is the best place to order a b18 with tranny? Prefer one i can just rebuild while its out the car. I've been mainly building off road set ups and now want to play around with my civic. thanks for all he replies

tokyomotorimports.com has the best prices. however they are only cheaper if you call vs ordering online, dont know why, it just is. By the way their english is very hard to understand so know your numbers before you call. They make killer individual deals over the phone that Ive been unable to beat anywhere, online or on the phone. They have a huge stock, and will match any tranny/engine combo you want, to include ecu of your choice.
