You could check out local junkyards, and Craigslist. The B18C1 is a USDM engine, so you should be able to find someone either parting out a 94-01 Integra GSR or someone selling the engine outright.

Remember, you'll need the transmission, ecu, shift linkage, mounts, and wiring harness. Also, it's always a good idea to replace the water pump, timing belt, timing belt tensioner, plugs, plug wires, and clutch while the engine is out of the car. If you find a good deal on the engine, you might be able to do it for $2500-$3000, but that's iffy. If you're buying from a JDM engine importer (ie, HMotorsOnline) the total cost will be around $4k.

The problem there is a higher cost, and if you're in an area with emissions testing, there's no guarantee you'll pass since JDM and USDM engines have different emissions standards.

H22 is no beginers swap, takes more than a drop in like gsr. Different shifter style, not a direct plug in, SHOULD run tighter springs up front, and need a different axel combo. Lot more involved of a swap.

I'd argue it's not. You have to cut a small hole in the floor under the center console for the shift cables, you might have to bend a frame rail about 1/2" out of the way (it entirely depends on the mounts you're using), and you need to run 3-4 extra wires (less if you already have vtec). The only problem with the H22 is you need swap-specific mounts and axles for it to work in a civic.

As far as weight goes, I thought we'd ended the misinformation already. It weighs little more than a turbocharged d16; if I remember correctly, shortblock vs. shortblock it's about 35lbs more than a B16, which in turn, weighs about 4lbs more than a D16. On top of that, the weight is where you want it: dead center over the axles.

OP, just for the record, a B18C1 and H22a swap both cost around the same (~$4,000) if you replace all the service components.
