Yea so this morning on my way to school i raced my friend and his lumina... beat him by about a half a car length. Both of our cars are automatic and damn that felt good. How much HP do luminas have? I know he has the 3.whatever litre lumina .

 

You drive a Civic are you surprised! lol jk. Yea, a while back I my self had to take a fella to school who was driving a montey carlo, (similar to lumina). He thought he could take a little 1.6 but what a mistake. He had me on the low end, but once the V-tec woke up he ended up smelling the byproducts of my engine.

 

oh, by the way, lumina I believe has a 160 hp, and 180 torque, engine is a 3.1 v6.

 

i think it might have something to do with weight. never the less cool!

no we just raced 0-60.. not like a quarter mile race.. lol

 

The base lumina's had a 3.1 rated at 160 to 170 horsepower. The Z-34's had a 3.4 d.o.c.h. rated at 200 to 215 horsepower. I have had a 96 monte carlo Z-34 and a 94 grand prix gtp, (pretty much the same cars, different bodies) both with the 3.4's. They were peppy engines, but sucked durability wise. I could take a stock or near stock mustang gt from stop light to stop light.

 

Lumina's are heavy as crap with the iron block engine. Also do you have any mods on ur car???
