There is a strange wire-burning smell in my car tonight, I looked in the engine bay and didnt smell it at all, only on the inside of the car. Now also, the headlights are going off and on all of a sudden, im guessing these 2 things are linked. I checked the wiring for the headlights and all looks good.

When I go to turn the little switch to put the headlights on, it doesnt click into place like it used to, it just kind of goes into place with no sound.

Whats the deal?

 

It sounds like the Pot is going bad.

 

Well sounds to me like you che the wiring in the night. Check it when theres light, and see if any wire looks burned
