no need for the double post.....and with a CAI, the filter has to be completley submerged to hydrolock your engine (which is what youre talking about when you suck water into your engine). You might bog out a little bit in heavy rain, btu other than that dont worry

I have a K&N CAI on my dodge neon, and it came with a waterproof covering which helps to keep it dry when hitting puddles, and like was said before you really only run into trouble when it is completly submerged in water and if it is completely submerged you probably have bigger problems than hydrolocking....lol

You will need to drive through a puddle that is extremely deep in order to hydrolock. I.E the filter will need to be submerged!!! Just avoid big puddles lol.

also, if you are that worried about you can get a Bypass valve, i know AEM makes one, and althouhg is restricts air flow a bit it'll save you if you drive through a small lake
