california rain!!!!!
i dont like it.
i dont like driving in it that is!
soo what should i do with my intake. i mean i feel like water is going to get sucked in it? i remember trustdestruction saying somthing about a del sol with a cool air intake.
but does that appl with the ek's or any other style?
i dont want water to get sucked in. and as you all no that are in california.
these big puddles jump infront of you with out notice then out of no where you feel the water underneath you.
and i am afriad that the water will get sucked it.
i have a wheel cover but is that enough?
my budy of mine said i should just take off the whole intake and stick the filter to the intake manifold?
what does every one suggest?
am i worried about somthing i shouldnt be?
and ideas?
thanks!!

yea i am!. and the way it sits it goes right to the bottom of the wheel well. and there is a sheet of plastic held up by one screw. should i use more bolts and seel it shut? then that defets the purpose of the cool air intake,
and tomorrow is suppost to be the worst

Completely different situation... I have never had a cold air intake. That post/thread/whatever was referring to the absence of my fender liners (wheelwell covers) resulting in water being splashed through the hole in the front right bulkhead (where the OEM intake resonator ran into the wheelwell) and onto my short ram intake's filter. It caused the engine to bog down because there was not enough dry area of the filter to supply sufficient air.

i've heard people actually needing to drive through a pretty deep puddle to start sucking up the water. i guess just try to avoid them or swap back to oem for now if you want
i've heard the worst was today and tomorrow should be better. but with all these rain, puddles will still be there
