well it is a lot lower, if your willing to risk running into more problems go ahead and buy it

I would save a few more bills and get one that is not salvaged. If you really want this car, make sure you put this car on the rack and also get an alignment check. You don't want to go through a whole bunch of tiresbecause the frame is bent.

If you really want a 7th gen Si I would go to THE ephatch site to find a seller of one. If you want an older Si, period, within a budget,then I'd look at a 6th gen, pre-2001. They have some advantages in handling ove the 7th gen due to better suspension geometry, but personally I prefer the EP3.The 2001-2005 Si is a rare but quirky and somewhat fragile car (compared with other 7th gens)that really should be in perfect condition at the time you buy it so you have a head start.

I don't own an SI, I like them and all, but I don't own one...gut feeling says walk away. I'd be pretty su****ious unless I could get an independant mechanic to test-drive it and go over the whole car with a fine-tooth comb so to speak. Thats the only way I'd buy it if I was in your shoes
