Default Car starting problems

I have a 92 Honda civic with a 95 engine in it. When I try to start the car it acts like its trying to turn over but never kicks over. I checked to see if I could still hear the fuel pump and everything sounds normally so I don't know where to start on what might be the problem. If anyone can help pleeaaassssseeeee do. Thanks.

Default RE: Car starting problems

Have you thought about the fuel filter? It may be too clogged to allow sufficient flow. Another big thing: is your alternator charging the battery enough to fully turn the engine over? Is your battery in good enough shape to hold a solid charge? How many times has the battery been deep-cycled? It MIGHT be a starter going south on you. I would, if you have the time, remove the starter, alternator, and battery and take them all to Autozone or Pepboys. How many miles on the starter? (Yeah, I know, starters dont accumulate miles, but walk with me, talk with me...) It might, MIGHT, be time to replace some parts of your charging/starting system. Good luck.
