I JUST PURCHASED A 2003 CIVIC EX COUPE (AUTOMATIC) AND I WANTED TO KNOW IF I COULD PUT A CAT-BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM ON A AUTOMATIC?
ALSO, WHAT IS A PRETTY GOOD EXHAUST SYSTEM?

 

of course you can put a cat back on a automatic... do a search there are tons of threads about what cat back to get!

 

if cat-backs didn't go on auto's there would be a outbirst of the community....greddy and 5zigen and really really nice exhust systems

I don't like those fart cans that are big enough to fit your shoe in (called a "footer" in my autoshop). If i was gonna get an exhaust, the muffler would have to be one that looked like a regular muffler and didn't have too much sound on it. I saw this kid with straight pipes on a WRX Impreza today. It looked pretty cool, maybe thats a good option. We put it on the lift and looked under, all we saw was the cat and piping. I got no idea if that legal or not.
