yep if you draft other cars and are easy on the gas, you can get pretty high numbers

i was trying to draft behind cars when i hit the hiway, but you cannot draft too close otherwise you'd be tailgating right? Can anyone give a guideline as far as drafting? Thanks.

2-3 seconds is what TxDOT says in their Driver's ED books. There is really no difference between tailgating and drafting. One is in the name of gas mileage, there other is in the name of get out of my way.

also in the night try not to get too close to people because you will blind them the whole way

2-3 secs is kinda far. would you still be saving gas that far behind? i was thinking 2 car length (1sec) space.

1 sec is too dangerous. Yes you still save gas when your 2-3 seconds behind another car

for some reason i could not post more than a sentence. 2-3 sec is like 4-6 car lengths.
