My civic 94 EX has an oil leaking problem. I noted that it's wet at the part in the picture, the leakage is right at the white arrow. I tried to look for this part in Chilton Honda Civic book but so far I have no luck yet.

What is the part for, the name ( Part number) of this piece ? Should I look for the whole unit, just the gasket, or some kind of glue to seal it ? Thanks

 

that is the VTEC solenoid... theres a gasket in there, so you should just be able to change that...

actually, i check online with the parts stores around here (autozone, advanve, and oreilly) and cant find it... however...

looks like #15 is it... although its lits 2 parts when you click.... not sure if you need both or what... or you can go to a honda dealer and they could tell you

 

I will stop by honda dealer on the way home from work tomorrow to buy the gasket.

I will find out the right one from them, it should be either 36172-P08-005 or 36172-P08-015 (GASKET, SOLENOID BASE). Thanks a lot, Vartok.
