Exclamation Civic im trying to buy

[IMG][/IMG]
*NYS inspected until June 2012
*Had complete new all around brake job in June 2011
* had new front and back struts put on in June 2011
*had brand new stock exhaust put on including cat converter and muffler put on June 2011
*had 4 brand new tires put on in June 2011
* brand new battery June 2011
*CD player
*new 02 sensors
* costs $31 to fill tank with todays gas prices
*No leaks and no check engine light
*clean title in hand
* Selling it below blue book value of $4,095
*Runs and drives excellent

apparently it burns a noticeable amount of oil, went up to see it with a friend who knows cars way more than me and we talked her down to giving it up for $2300

the bad is, theres an obvious coolant leak, one of the headlights seems to have some shady wiring, the inside hatch panel is missing, the shifter is wobbly while in gear, inside armrests missing, also i think i found a dead cockroach inside O_O

i think its looking good, now i just gotta wait for my insurance to come through WITH THE DAMN CHECK ALREADY.

im hoping no one else snatches it up before i do

thoughts?

Honestly, I would say hold out for another car like it or for an EX. I'm thinking that in buying this one, its just going to give you unnecessary frustrations and headaches.

Your buying a big problem it sounds like to me. For $2300 there are several cars out there.
I agree PASS on this one.

yeah sounds like a pain, if it needed body work no biggie but leaks are difficult most of the time

the part about it burning oil should scare you. unless you have another engine lined up, but then I would say that you shouldn't be paying $2300 for it...

exactly, my car needed body work, not internal work, if your burning oil it may be the head gasket and thats lots of work and money

if he's burning oil, i doubt its the head gasket. its probably the rings, which are WAY worse than just a bad head gasket, lol
