Default clunking noise when pulling away and braking

hi guys i hope you can help.

( i have added this in another section as people my be able to help from both topics )

i have noticed over the last few week a loud clunking noise when i pull away and brake to stop the car. the clunk is only there once as i pull away rather than a constant noise it just comes as i pull away just 1 loud clunk that can be heard inside or outside the car and again i have the same effect when braking 1 loud clunk. the noise is sometimes heard when taking a corner or hitting a bump in the road but this a rare.

my car is a 2006 civic.

has one came across this before or does anyone have any idea what it could be.

thanks for any help

Broken motor mount? Can you make it clunk holding the brakes solid, then try to accelerate moderately? Do that both forward and reverse.

to help isolate the problem you could try braking using the E-Brake and/or downshifting if its a stick shift. if its a motor mount or something else structure wise it should still clunk. if it has to do with your brakes engaging it would probably stop.
