well, first i strongly suggest not getting a LOUD exhaust.. get a nice low toned exhaust intake is fine. now for any other suggestions your gonna have to give us more details on your plans with the car. if this is gonna be your dependable daily drivr then first make sure all the maintaince is done.

The 92-95 Hatchback Si's are gonna be wayyy cheaper than the 99/00 coupe Si's. I like the coupes but the hb's are lighter. :/ Also the coupes are harder to get a hold of.

My question is...

Why does it have to be a Civic Si?

I get the impression that having the "Si" badging is more important to you than what being an "Si" actually means as far as features and specs go, on any given generation Civic.

lol all civic ex's have vtec. The reason the 92-95 civic si's are cheaper than the 99-00 is mostly because the engine they have and other factors. The 92-95 have the d16z6 and the 99-00 have the b16. Two different motors, but both have vtec. One is dohc and the other is sohc. Dohc stands for dual over head cams while soch stands for single over head cam.

Just some words of advice, before you do anything new in life especially things that are going to cost you your hard earned cash, do lots of research about it. In time you will learn lots about civics, but purely just wanting the car because it has vtec is a poor choice. Do you even know what vtec does or how it operates? Just something to think about before jump in and just want something because you think its cool, which is what im getting from "I dont care as long as it has vtec"

LOL,
I think power windows, locks, sunroof are over rated (maybe cause i have none of the above). Like what 94civichatchback said, it depends on what you are going to use the car for: daily driver, track, both, summer car, etc.
A honda civic is like a Lego.. you can do so much to it, no matter what model you have.
