Default A couple Q's about the Tip's and Trick's sticky

These questions are in reference to the suggestions made in the Tips and Tricks sticky at the top of this forum.

#1: Do I have an EGR valve on my '00 EX?

#2: Doesn't the coolant line going to the TB aid in cold weather starting? So it would only be a summer time mod to bipass the TB?

1. yes

2. it keeps your throttle plate from freezing shut, I wouldn't remove it

i wrote a few of those tips and you gotta know some are for the track only. theres loads of info on the net about those tips, you can research the gains and stuff and find out if they will be worth it.

I put a breather on my valve cover last night (and painted my valve cover) and pluged up the hole in my CAI. Now I'm looking at maybe puting a solonoid on the coolant lines that would re-direct the flow around the TB when the ambient temps are above freezing. Might be a fun weekend project. I'm looking more at eaking out every last MPG than power gains.

I did a search here and on google and didn't find much info on deleting the EGR system. Are there any negative effects of doing it besides maybe throwing a code?

I'm doing everything I can to keep the air charge as cool and clean as possible...
