so, tomorrow i'm suppose to go to court to enter my not guilty plea. how should i dress? i know not shorts, or tanktop/wife beater, but any advice? also, how much are taxes/ other fees? my fine on the site was $116

cop pulled me over for speeding. complete BS though, since i was pulled over in a 40 zone going 42. he claimed i was going 44 in a 35...

 

A suit is certainly OK but you should be fine with a shirt with a collar (and tuck it in), long pants that aren't denim, and decent shoes.

 

cut off jeans... preferably stopping right at the thighs. Work boots! a flannel, trucker hat that says git-r-done! lol

j/k! i always wore a long sleeved dress shirt with black dress pants. Went to court 3 times before i turned 18, how nice! 2 speeding tickets and a crash. Not a good way to start.

 

id sugest wearing your best....
and if its a 40mph take some pictures of the sign and adress...

and of course YES SIR NO SIR.....
typical common sense works great. and cross your fingers that the cop doesnt show!

i'm pretty sure tomorrow is just the appearance where i have to enter a plea of guilty or not guilty. if i plead not guilty, i'll get a court date for contesting it. i don't plan to go to court though... i'm planning to do a trial by declaration (eg. by mail). if i was to go to court 1) there's a REALLY good chance the officer will show up, since he gets paid like $300 overtime 2) i'll probably lose because it's hella intimidating and i'm not the best under such pressure
