LX? Or should I have gotten an EX...

I mean, I'm mostly just for transportation and looks but then again.. EX Seems more popular than an LX lol... Idk... What do you guys think?

no not really the only differences between the two is the lx doesnt have a sunroof and only comes in a sedan body style, whereas you can get an ex in the coupe style. oh and the engine is massively different lol. with the ex having vtec and the lx not. but like you said u got for transportation and looks not performance. there are many ppl on here with stylish "grocery getters" lol. and remember its how u like it to look not how others do. so take all advice with a grain of salt.

i would have gotten an EX if i had not gotten the LX. since the 98 civic's LX and EX holds about the same value. meaning you can probably get a 98 LX and 98 EX at the same price. unless you really want the EX. don't worry about whats popular as long as you like your 98 LX, keep it. the LX is the 4 door and the EX you are talking about is a 4 door or a 2 door?

EX in general since its VTEC since it would my car faster haha...

I'm pretty picky lol, I'd wanna go fast once in a while... but then you're right, I am just for transportation/looks

I could have gotten both the looks and performance with an ex though ! O_O

I decided against the EX because I didn't want the moonroof. The 4 wheel disc brakes would have been nice, though. The LX has the same engine as the EX.

The D series ended in '05. Are we talking about the same my? I thought the OP was referring to a new '08 or '09.

Edit: Nevermind, you're correct, I see the OP just bot a '98 not an 8th gen.

yeah, LX is a pretty low end model. But you never go wrong with a civic some people like working on d16y7's over y8's, you're fine. And if you're really worried about it, mini-me!
