I wanna go low buck on this, is it worth it?

 

Depends on how low buck you go, if you get those ebay headers then chances are they wont fit properly and crack or something, Megan Racing is a good brand for a low price.

 

^^^ Think about it... you want to "upgrade" your performance with the cheapest parts possible... especially engine parts... there are sale prices and then there are CHEAP prices (ebay).... if you go too cheap you'll risk spending more in the long run to fix it so just keep your racing dreams until you can save up for something nice, eh? And I too have seen on the forums that Megan is good and DC not so good. I went with Thunder and it is fantastic!

 

DC not good? i have never heard anyone say taht DC sports was not good

 

I am with Fiirk on this one. I have never heard anything bad about DC. Back up that statment Moog or suffer my wrath. ROFL. J/K

 

When it comes to important things on your engine I dont think its the place to cheap out. Im not saying to spend lots of money on the best brands, but research what your buying.

 

to answer ur first question, yes, brands do matter. well, any brand would be better than some no name stuff found on ebay. spend the extra buck, u wont be dissapointed. if u dont kno already, workin on cars is an expensive hobby, just wait a lil longer, save more and get something u'll be happy with for a long time. i always say do it right the first time, it'll save u a big headache and alot of money.

 

I like my dc ones if that matters at all. 4-2-1 one piece ceramic.
