it came with a flathead v12 in it pushing about 120 hp, so im not too worried about it being a weird set up

Ive never heard of "dual engines" either. Id be interested in seeing how that works... or better yet how everything fits.

its done by having the 2 engines side by side, then instead of having a transmission hooked up to the motor, you use the motors output shaft and then using some creativity attach a chain to it and lead to a point between the engines equidistant, then you fashion up a make shift bell housing and attach the transmission of your choice.

the other option is to hook them up inline and run a slip-clutch in between, but i think i'd prefer to do side by side than inline

somewhere on google i once found the pictures, but i cant find them now

I've seen a del Sol with an H22 in the trunk and then one in the engine bay... not sure how the hell it worked though.

Dual engine setups are awesome. One of the cooler ones I've seen is the Durocco, a VW Scirroco with an engine up front and one in back. www.durocco.com [edit] DANG, he took 80% of the content down. Nevermind.

OP, if you go that route, understand that you'll have an INSANE amount of custom fabrication needed, not just in frame but also in wiring harnesses, intake/exhaust, etc. And also... that's a 46 Lincoln Continental. Are you sure you wanna hack up something that collectible?

i recently have sold the engine and wish to do something different to it, i dont see too mush of a point in restoring it as its not in the best of shape now as it is quite rusted and beyond reasonably restoring cheaply. so i plan to build a vehicle that i will enjoy out of it. the engine bay is huge as the old engine was about 3 ft long, and the engine bay is about 4' long X 3' wide, so if i remove the inner fenders it should be easily doable.

the car in question

just wondering... what was the point of them putting a V12 in that car if it only makes 120 hp... granted it's the late 40's, but still... a V12, with 12hp.
