Default dumb newb question

i just picked up a 06 ex and while the radio says xm ready there is nothing in the manual or any other documentation i can find about doing anything additional besides activating the service.

when i press the xm button i get nothing... supposedly its supposed to tune in a few channels and display a serial number. i highly doubt there is a issue with the car and its most likely i need to purchase a antenna or something

anyone know? its the non-navigation premium radio

thanks

My dad got a free 3 month trial of XM when he bought his Accord in the spring. See if you can get that

Your car is only "XM-Ready" like my EX coupe. You have to pay for the optional service.

Yea you need to purchase something, and it's like $260 or something. I think I'm gonna do without. I'm enjoying the mp3 player though.
