Angry DX 2 EX Conversion~!

Okay so after reading up on the LX/DX/HX/CX Conversion to EX
-->https://www.hondacivicforum.com/foru...ad.php?t=73237

It came to my attention that if im going to purchase a Catback Exhaust for my 99 Civic DX (loving the APEXI WS2, planning to buy hopefully)
Im going to need to remove my current Header integrated with the Catalytic Converter along with the Stock Exhaust.

Meaning, completely purchasing a new Header, Catalytic Converter
(EX Version) as well as the 02 Sensor Extensions if needed.
(Do i need the Extensions?)

Only thing is, Magnaflow has the Catalytic Converter for 150$ average
while on Craigslist/Ebay may have as well cheaper. Maybe JunkYards too?
(Would they still be as good as the Magnaflow? Or is there Pros/Cons?)

Lastly, I'd like to say how long would the process take?
To those who have done it. Any pointers in the right
direction in where to maybe look into buying would be great.

(By the way, im from San Diego, CA. So, roughly in that area. lol)

Thanks.

It is illegal for a junk yard to sell a cat.
Its best to buy a aftermarket one like magnaflow , a OEM one cost's way to much.

i hope you got a good amount of money for this cuz to keep this carb legal you have to get a DC header (new ~$400) and a magnaflow hi-flow cat (i recomend anyways) plus the cat back (idk how much)

well to begin, the car has already failed emissions test and explained further i believe the cat has to do with it. my best bet is to purchase the magnaflow then.

Well I could probably do the whole thing from start to finish in 45 minutes or even less. If you've never removed the entire exhaust it might take you twice that or even more.

use both extensions... a short and a longer one. thats what i used on my conversion.
and just post a listing on craigs WTB 96-00 civic cat converter.... theres always people pulling off there factory cats for some fake cat/delete and they just trash or throw it to the side.
i got my OEM used cat for about 80bucks i think.
