Okay so I have been wondering for some time about whether or not the trims initials DX HX LX EX CX VX Si were actually acronyms for words or if they were just randomly assigned.

Also, same goes for the body models EF, EG, EJ, EK.

I know I have an EJ1, but again, is that representative for words or is it assigned somehow. Thanks!

I think think for most cars (non-civic) LX normally refers to luxury but that's about all I know.

 

Yes they mean something. The only one I know is SI and that means Sport Injected.

 

I don't think LX is Luxury, EX has the most/all the options.
