Default eBay Turbo's anyone?

I'm new to all of this, I did just post my introduction, but i have a question. I just bought a 98 EX, has some good mods, pretty much ready for a turbo (Only waiting on the blow off valve). I know looking around on the net, there are roughly $2000 give or take depending on name brand. If you look on eBay you can find kits for $300-$500........ Has anyone actually bought one or know anything about these. Money is a little tight, but I'd love to get a turbo soon.....I could afford that price if they are worthy..... Any help is appreciated.

I wouldn't put an ebay turbo kit on my car, too many horror stories about them. Someone else will be able to elaborate on why not to do that.

On a side note... Although i've heard horror stories about them, if i was running only like 5-6psi on my civic (stock internals) and get it tuned, think it can hold up? :-P

I have heard bad things, but to my surprise have seen 2 of them (both on nissans) run for over a year now with no problem. I think its luck of the draw.
