Default Ecotec vs Vtec

I've never driven a vtec but I'm planning on buying one soon. My brother just recently was stationed in England on a AFB and lefted his 06' Cobalt SS/SC at home and gave me the keys. My question is which is better Ecotec or Vtec engines? I took the Cobalt to the track last weekend and my best time in the 1/8 mile was a 9.40. I love the car but I don't plan on taking over payments on it lol.

I'd say DOHC VTEC is better. It's probably not gonna be as fast stock as that cobalt, but you could make it faster.
