Default ecu help

how good is the hondata s100 ecu (came with the car) compared to other ecu's out there? what are the benifits and drawbacks of having that one over something else? the previous owner took it out and put the stock ecu back in it since it wasnt tuned right. and iv been looking into putting it back in and getting it tuned. But i want to look into it more and get some feedback first before i do anything im going to regret later on down the road. any form of feedback will help, thanks

S100 is fine, but you have to go to an authorized Hondata tuner in order for changes to be made. Check out hondata's website for differences between the S100, S200, and the S300 systems.

And when I checked out the differences It basically said that they're all the same. Only major difference is the amount of tuning you can do with them. I don't plan on goin too heavy in it so the s100 should be fine ?

If you plan on taking the ECU/car to a tuner and then never changing anything which would require a re-tune, or you don't care about spending more money each time you need a re-tune, then the S100 is fine.
