hey guys got a few EG questions.
my dad is steering me away from the car I want to get ( friends brothers ) it needs a clutch and windshield.
but my question is, is that can I get a nice EG ( decent ) with no real problems and not super high millage for under 2g's?
and does having A/c affect gas millage, but not using it.
and is it hard to find EG's with power steering?

 

yes tater you can find a fairly good eg for under 2 grand but it might have some problems but maybe nothing major posibly body work or some engine work. and yes the a/c does effect gas milage but if thats a factor you can turn it off. and about power steering my 92 dx doesn't have it but ive seen some dx's with it. i think the 92-95 si's had it and ive seen some vx's with it i don't know about cx's

that eg with a broken windshield and worn out clutch is easily repairable.

finding a decent condition eg under $2k is another story.

 

ive tried that, but it sucks because if I get what he wants he will pay for the car probly and whatever goes wrong with it but if I get a honda something I know alot about and my auto teacher knows alot about and I know alot of people that know alot about them then he wont let me get it because he is just a dick like that. and its not like i cant replace a clutch! I have done a few before. he is just a dick and wants to pick everything I get and if he wont let me get it then hell I will go with my mom and she will sign for it.

 

consumer reports did a study on i forget what car and found out running the air condition affected mileage by 1 mile/gallon...not a huge issue
