well you're going to have to get a friend to hold the camera or something then... I don't know what else to say

 

That 15mph doesent sound good at all man, as far as i know, thats not normal. I can hit almost 30mph before i have to go into second. boost aside, first dosent spool it up that well, so it might only be helping a little. Seriously, you should be able to hit 20-25. Yeah, work on that video

 

yup my speedo says 30 when i shift into second(at 6800)

O.K. after having sorted out my camera mount, (because leaving it in my lap you couldn't hear well enough) I have the vids posted so you can hear it.

The first one is just the engine @ idle. The second is me going from a stop to 35 and shifting at around 3500.

So doe sthe engine sound like it should at idle, or is that loud ticking sound a bad thing? Second, does it sound like it should at speed?

It sounds like diesel. I would start with checking your valve springs and lash.

 

Cool. I will do that this week. I just need to get another valve cover gasket.

Is there anything else I can check while I am digging around under its skirt? LOL

 

If I just put a new vavle cover gasket on like 5 or so months ago, I can just reuse it right? Reason being is that no one here can get me a new one until after x-mas and I want to go ahead and do the vavle adjustment. I am all set up to do it, but just want to make sure that reusing it is not gonna screw me up.
