Hi I have a 1998 Honda Civic HX coupe. My transmission is going bad, and i need a to replace it? Does anyone have any ideas on what transmission? Would the DX transmission work in my car? I would also be interested in a B16 engine swap, could anyone please give me instructions? Thanks

 

Yes the dx transmission will work.

As for the b16 swap, just do a little search and you will find plenty of posts answering your question.

No, a d-series transmission won't fit on a b-series engine. You'll need a b-series transmission if you get a b-series block. And the b16 swap is pretty easy as far as swaps go.
