displacement means nothing...A built turbo I4 can take a lot of V8's.

 

right but it needs a turbo....the torque of a v8 can not be matched by an i4 with comprable money being spent on mods...mostly because the i4 is already playing catch up....there is no replacement for displacement (why i upgraded to 1.8 after owning b16)....i know volumetric effecientcy but that costs money to perfect in an i4

and i think that celica would take it cause the added dispacement (specifically the torque associated with the larger dis[lacment) and the top end pull ofthe dohc over the sohc

I agree on the Celica displacement theory, unless the thing is a real piece. Plus he said nothing about a turbo in either one. As is, with disclosed mods and both in good shape: Celica FTW
