Default Gauge installation

Hey, I just got an S7 dimensional guage set, and I installed it onto my gauge cluster, but im just a bit confused about the wiring. In the instructions it says to connect the black wire to a ground location. Would that be the chassis? and then the red wire is to be connected to the parking light switch. I think, being from Canada, we use different terms (parking light?) Any help would be great thanks!

I just installed mine not too long ago. Basically just attach the black wire to any ground. As for the red wire, I connected it to the original backlight. Not where they plug into the back, but the actual backlight cord on top of the cluster. You'l have to sodder it in. Hope that helps.

Your fusebox may also have accesory slots. If it does one of them is usually triggered when the parking lights are on. You could fuse it and hook the red wire up to that.

To ground the black one, just put it on your chassis. and the other wire can be cut into the parking lights. its only there to turn on the backlight when its dark outside.
