I just bought my first turboit was abarley used garettet turbo off a guy who had it on his civic, and the wastegate is set to 8 psi, will that be to much for my civic motor that only has a custom upper intake manifold, and a catback?

We need to know the turbo size before we can tell you if 8psi from it will be too much or not. btw you do know you need much more than just the turbocharger to boost your car correct?

haha yea I bought the turbo, exhaust manifold,charger pipe and bov from him, now I just gotta buy the oil lines, intercooler, piping and all that good stuff the turbo is a t3 25 something I think, ill look when I get home and let you guys knows

It's accually a turbo manifold not exhaust, just want to clerify that, I hope you didn't get offeneded that I asked that but sometimes we get people who don't know that. Before you do anything you should do a compression test first.

hey man is anythin done to the engine its self? bored new heads, pistons or anythin...personaly i wouldnt but a turbo on a honda unless its been sleeved or with new pistons or some inturnails are done. i mean i think it would be safer, an ull get more power. Ive seen why to many cars get blown up with not doin that an havin to much boost.
oh an ur goin have to get a whole new exhuse system anyway if u turbo ur car....so that catback wont matter
