honda civic 01 help!!!
Hi Guys. Im new to this forum. Im a noob with cars. I have decent driving skills but i have very little idea what's inside the vehicle. Im going to post here pretty often. Hope i can learn a thing or two from you guys. hehe.
I brought a 2nd hand honda civic. Spend 240 dollars to fix the alternator. And i see the "SRS" light turned on. I have no idea what it is. Im not going to buy another 2nd hand car next time. Anyone here knows what it means and what i can do to fix it?????

2nd hand car? what does that mean??
and SRS is Supplemental Restraint System i believe, it can be your airbags or other things set off the light too the air bags and the little pplug under your seat are the 2 i know about
WIKI INFO...
Things that can cause the SRS light to turn on include:
* Letting battery drain too low
* Bad Sensor
* Blown fuse
* Unplugging the car’s battery
* Removing the gauge cluster/installing aftermarket gauges
* G-Force sensors that are under each of the front fenders ($250.00 each)
* Bad clockspring (located inside your steering wheel)
* Bad ECU
* Bad reverse light switch on transmission
* Car was in an accident
* Airbag defective/unplugged
To fix this problem, some have gone to the dealership to have the SRS computer reset. Unfortunately, this costs somewhere around $70.00. Another option is to invest in a DRBII or MUTTII, which is what dealerships often use to diagnose and reset many of the car’s systems.
