Civictuner;

If you seek performance go elsewhere, if it's mpg - do it. Due to their age it's hard to find one with less than 140k, and the few that I could locate had 200k+. If the body is in good shape you can always get the engine rebuilt. The VX was produced in 93, 94, and 95 as a hatchback with a VTEC-e engine. Now that gas has become so expensive, more people will seek these 56 mpg models. Unable to find a good VX, I went ahead and bought a 98 HX which gets a true 40 mpg.
Best,
HXville

To answer the original question, I would still buy one with 300,000 on it.

Hello all
I just boought a 1992 VX with 141k on it straight body few dings, First tank I got 48 MPG !! I looked at carreviews.com and read where people have 300k on these things. Its no speed demon but at 48mpg at 65-70 mph with the A/C on I am sold !! Many people stated they are getting 52-55mpg so I will be working on tring to get that. I plan to do timming belt and waterpump ASAP and change the O2 sensor ! the O2 sensor is a 5 wire NTK L1H1 or L2H2 that is priced at 400.00 Wide band sensor. Anyone having any info where to find a cheaper o2 sensor please email me At Traumagas@aol.com

Jon
