if you take your car to a track and get a 1/4 mile time there is a formula to figure out your hp. It prolly wont be the most accurate but its a starting point.

has listings for gross stock horsepower ratings. On average, net horsepower is around 70% of gross. If your engine has more than 100,000 miles, there is a good chance it is less than the listing due to a loss of compression.
