Default How do I start my son's Civic?

It's a '93, I think. Yesterday I started it fine, but today I can't remember how. I'm using the right key, and I depress the brake pedal, but the key won't turn. Car is in park. ????????

Sounds like the ignition cylinder is locked. Try gripping the steering wheel, and turning it all the way to one side (either towards the right, or the left) and turning the key from there. You may have to force it a bit

YOu may need to try it to the right, and if that doesn't work, then try the left. Either one should work though.

My 98 Civic gets like that every once in a while....all I do it smack the gearshift (not too hard, don't want to make it cry) forward a bit and the key will turn.
