you might want to check out your ecu to see if it is fried, i had the same problem mine kicked in at 6500rpm before i got a new ecu. Also if you v-tech is kicking in at diff rpms in diff gears then you might want to think about your oil pump or check you distributor and cap.

Whatdoes this thread have to do with a cheap phone? It's VTEC...

Oh, and VTEC should have the same engaging rpm, no matter which gear.
