my insurance is almost 1/2price of my 95 fullsize extened cab pickup truck... odd cause my civic is a 99 and almost half the price... i asume cause if my truck hits someone its gonna MESS THEM UP.LMFAO and if my civic hits something its not gonna hurt the other car as much....

when i bought the car my first road trip all stock i got 38mpg highway ruffly 70mph 90% highway driving...
and when i put on my cheap header/intake and my 17inch rims... i only got about 30 i think it was... if i do another road trip im gonna slap the stock wheel sback on.... and hopefully it will be about same...
small price to pay for stylish rims

main reason i bought my civic is the milage! and only real problem ive heard with them breaking the motor is if the timing belt breaks... but ifya replace and inspect it offtenly enough ya shouldnt have the problem if ya drive it right!

I do live in Colorado, so most the time I'm driving over 65 MPH, often about 75-85 .. so that could be why I get a bit worse than most people on this forum ( I live in a small town, so most of my driving is to one of the bigger towns around here, on highways, or county roads... followed by town-trafic of 30-40 MPH mmmhmmm). Plus people around here warm up there cars for along time (even in the summer, people will warm up there cars for a few minutes... I do for 5-10 minutes when its cold)

I wasent implying you guys were wrong about your mileage.. I was just saying, most people think they get better mileage than they do, becasue they never test it out and dont keep track of how much gas they get, (I'm poor.. so I sure do.)

I got around 38 in my 96 3dr stock. I bought it with 134k miles and the guy had just replaced the clutch because it was slipping on him.
