RE: How much did you pay for your 2006 Civic?
'06 LX sedan, 5 spd, $15,960. No options...+ tax & delivery
Probably better deals out there on the EX's as those are sitting on the lots longer. I'm also told that they order 6 5-spds and the get 1, so they are definitely tougher to get.
I'm reading that a lot of automatic owners are not getting the mpg they expect...anyone seeing that here?

Re> MPG:
My 2006 LX sean has 1,600 miles on it now: Current tank of gas got about 27.27 MPG. (All city-type driving. But I did get into VTEC pretty good the other day, just for a bit.)
My take on MPG is: Ask after about 5,000 miles--then the engine will be broken in.

I got my civic ex coupe 5 speed manual for $17,500.
I threw in another $200 at delivery as a bonus since the dealer had to search 5 states to get the car that I wanted in silver - very rare at the time. (I had previously bought two other hondas from the same dealer )
the dealer in turn threw in free wheel locks, mud guards and sunroof windblocker. Actually the dealer threw in TWO sets of wheel locks, one was a spare set still in the package to this day).

I paid $24K for my SI, w/o navi but I added 4K worth of extra's. The car itself w/o the aero kit, HP tires and rims and fog lights was 20, 290. Not bad since they are in such high demand and you can't find them at any Honda dealership unless you order them and wait for 2 months.

I wound up going out of state. LX 4-door, sticker 18,010, dealer came down 750, then gave me 1300 for my trades ('91 Accord 219,000+, '93 Buick Roadmaster [my dad's camper hauler]). Nobody local wanted to even look at my trades. Found the color we wanted (Royal Blue Pearl) almost immediately, after the local dealer said "well, maybe one off the transporter Aug.11".
Maine Mall Motors, South Portland, ME. They delivered to my house (no extra), and drove my trades back. Who could not love that ? And the car has been flawless.
