how to remove shift linkage?

Default how to remove shift linkage?

I'm swaping my 97' civic ex with a b16a2 and i don't know how to remove the shift linkage. Does anyone know how to remove the shiftlinkage? Please let me know.

There is a little boot on the linkage right where it connects to the tranny. Pull that back and pound out the pin that is holding it. That should be it as long as you have the shifter end already out. Good luck.

too add to the previous post........that pin(dubbed bytch pin) will slid out smoothly with the use af an 8mm roll pin punch

I like that, "Bytch pin". That just about sums that little sucker up doesn't it.

and you have to use a flat punch. a tapered one will spread it while youre driving it and it wont move.
