mmm looks like hard to install. i hate cables, i thought it was just the handle. the way i broke it was, my hood doesint pop up when you pull the tab, you pull the tab, then lift hood up . ill see if i can use pliers, or use a screw and wire.

its actually not that bad to swap out. pull the kick panel cover off and pull the front inner fender liner out and also pull off the front bumper cover then the 4 bolts on the hood latch itself and pull the cable thru the firewall and remove the handle. pretty easy really.

just mark the hood latch bolts with a marker or something that way you know exactly where the latch was and you can put it back perfectly.
i havent done it yet BUT with my front end damage i had the whole front end ripped apart. so its very easy really. it just looks harder than it really is.
no need to cut up your fingers trying to pull on the cable.

and if you cannt get the hood pull to open the hood then take out the inner fender liner and simply cut the liner and grab the inner wire and pull on it

My hood doesn't pop up when I pull the hood lever either, I have to lift it up after that. Not hard though...

Easy replacement, might as well do a hood cable relocation as an extra security deterrent while you're at it.

Can some one tell me the size socket for the nut on the right upper engine mount?
