..I came here because I now you guyshave good knowlegeand would help me out if you could. This guy is selling a 1990 240sx and wants $400 for it. He said the body was rebuilt and the only thing it needs is a timing kit to run. So, whatI'm asking iswhat alldoes a timing kit includeandif you guys think It would be a good investment.

honestly... you're an idiot if you don't go for it. Since the drift trend began, the price of 240's has skyrocketed, so picking one up for under a grand is a helluva bargain. I'm thinking he probably just meant it'll need a timing chain... you'd have to ask to be sure.
And s13s pwn all... is it a hatchy or a coupe?

It's a hatch. I have one of my friends going to look at it with me since I don't know much about vehicles. I've learned a lot from you guys though. Anyway, the guy said the engine was in pieces. Even though the engine isnt assembled and it needs a timing kit for it to run, still think its a good buy?

Isn't that a timing belt engine?. With the engine apart, you can inspect it for valve damage that may have occurred. If the body is in good shape I'm sure you could find a complete used stock engine somewhere fairly cheap.
