I'm 17, and in love with cars. I would like to build a car up from the ground to call my own. So i decided to look at the 1993 Honda Civic 2 dr 5 speed. The only problem with that is the parents. Mom wants saftey and something that sits high enough. I just need some pros of getting a honda civic. If you can give me pros i would greatly appritiate it

 

Well, here are a few.

1. Honda andToyota currently hold 44% of automotive sales in America
2 Honda's get exceptional gas mileage.
3. Honda's are safe, and most come with driver and passenger side air bags, locking seat-belts and newer models have ABS systems.
4. Honda's rarely need any work, other then general oil and filter changes, and normal tire rotation/replacements
5. Honda's pre-2002 ish have a TON of support as far as aftermarket products, replacement OE products, and service.
6. Honda's hold a very good re-sale value, and can even be re-certified in some cases with almost 100k miles on them.
7. Anyone on this site will tell you that a Honda will most likely outlive any other car on the road, pushing the odometer upwards of 400 thousand miles without worry.
8. And most importantly, Honda's have dedicated websites like this, with actual customer support from people that know and love their cars!

If that won't convince mom then nothing will. Civics are a great car, and they will last. IMO, you would be much more safe, and happier in a honda then any little cavalier or S-10 they are probably pushing.

Tell them if they want you any more safe, they can buy you a BMW or high priced Volvo. That will get them thinking in the right direction :-)
