Getting a new ECU won't make your vtec kick any stronger, but it will make your rev limiter higher and your top speed higher as well, but I wouldn't recomend doing it anyway. I've got a GSR ECU in my car (97 EX) and I wouldn't recomend one, I don't get s*** out of my engine after 7k rpm anyway, so it's pretty pointless (plus it f***s with your idle)

O yea and its a D16z6 so anyboby think they know what I can do rather then replacing the ECU or Chip

dude are u sure ur vtec is even kicking in?

does it gooo

vrrooom vrrooom.. then u pass 4'8k and it goes WRWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM lol?

cuz ur vtec might not even be engaging. its not relly hard to tell. cuz u should hear ur motor get dramatically louder..

I think a lot more information is needed... but, if you've been running nearthe 7,000 rpm redline... my concern would be that there is some internal damage. You'll find out soon enough.

HA well its a single came Vtec sohc so I shouldnt be able to hear it at all but i should still be able to feel it, but if I do get a turbo which i do plane on in the future that should cure the problem ha?

Could it have anything to do with my Vtec solenoid, and if so does anyone no how I could check it? I heard somway with a DMM but im not to sure about it

Another thought... have the compression in each cylinder checked. Perhaps you are losing compression. This would affect the power across the board. If you DO have lower compression in one or more cylinders then you have to figure out why. Warped valve? Leak in a gasket?

Hope you get it figured out.

if your revving near the rev limit daily, your engine is gonna die very quickly.
