hello im new to this civc stuff. i have a 94 civic with the vteck thats all i know.. im looking to get some more power out of it for a cheep cost.. could you guys help me out...

vtec, not vteck or vtech, ppl will bash the hell out of you for misspelling it lol. heres a slogan for you tho

fast + reliable = expensive
fast + cheap = not reliable
cheap + reliable = not fast

 

put an intake and exhaust on it, help the motor breathe better and it will give you a better throttle response

 

u want some good real power, its not gonna be cheap. ur gonna spend 600 n up just gettin good headers, high flow catalytic converter, n exhaust system. oh n btw, get name brand stuff ONLY. check with us before buyin parts to make sure its good or not...

look buy a cheapo ebay intake then throw the filter away and buy a k&n filter

for exhaust ive used several no name headers and they worked fine, as for exhaust up grade goto a local muffler shop and get a quote for them to put a full 2in exhaust
and look into a high flow cat.

 

what if i dont run a cat? and i hurd somthing about head swap? and whats a good cai? any little trick? some one told me you can make easy power out of theses v-tec's. so your saying just any header is not good? way i ask how?

 

if you dont run a cat...in alot of states its illegal, and also if your state requires inspections then you will automatically fail, and not to mention ur car will be loud as hell.

 

yeah i can get it to pass with out one im not going to lose any power though am i?
